Interviews start for Coon Rapids city manager job

The assistant city manager job has been created by the restructuring of the human resources coordinator position, which was recommended by Fulton and approved by the Coon Rapids City Council earlier this year. The restructuring occurred following the departure of Joyce Hottinger, former human resources coordinator, who resigned this past summer to take a position with the League of Minnesota Cities Human Resources Department. As assistant city manager, the new hire, while not a department director, would be part of Fulton’s management team. Interviews have been taking place this week for candidates for the newly created Coon Rapids assistant city manager position. According to City Manager Matt Fulton, from 66 applications for the job that were received, 12 were chosen for interviews.
